Judge Charged In Connection With Disappearance

It’s been over a week since 15-year-old Janelika Romney vanished after school, and now the investigation just took a serious turn.

On June 26, police charged 64-year-old Selwyn Pringle—better known on the block as “Judge” - of Dieppe Bay, with Kidnapping and False Imprisonment. Two charges, two warrants, and the streets talking heavy.

Janelika, last seen on 16 June in her Verchild’s High School uniform, has had the whole country watching, waiting, worrying. But recent updates say she’s alive and made contact with family - and that alone shifting the mood and giving people something to hold on to.

👮🏽‍♂️ Deputy Commissioner Cromwell Henry confirmed that several people already been brought in for questioning, and their statements now under review. Police say those details could determine the next steps.

Right now, most of the search still locked on the New Guinea area, where police believe key movements happened. Tip-offs been flowing, and teams still out there looking day and night.

Authorities also offering EC$7,000 for any info that leads to her safe return. That’s roughly US$2,590 for those counting.

Investigators going through phones, tower data, digital activity-anything that can help track her steps and figure out who she might’ve been dealing with.

“This investigation is wide-ranging and serious. Every effort is being made to assess all relevant info properly,” said Henry.

The Federation holding strong. Families praying, communities pushing, and law enforcement applying full pressure. Everybody got the same goal: bring Janelika home, safe and sound.
