PM Drew Defends Dialysis Progress, Says System Stronger Than Critics Claim

PM Drew say yes, challenges happen — but don’t let exaggeration drown out the real progress. During a roundtable last week, he address concerns about dialysis services at Joseph N. France General Hospital and say that while there was a temporary tightness in supply, the system never stopped working.

He confirm that the special fluids used in dialysis have been replenished and that hundreds more were expected to hit SKN on October 8. He acknowledge that “in the ebb and flow” of a specialised service, delays or shortages may occur, but warn that some folks turning small issues into big drama. He push back against what he call “misrepresentations,” urging citizens and media to seek facts from hospital staff rather than speculate.

Drew also remind people of what has been achieved under his watch in health care: SKN now has two nephrologists, multiple dialysis machines, and a kidney transplant programme in motion. He note that modern medical equipment and improved access to specialized care are part of the bigger picture too.

He say: yes, machines break, yes, supplies ebb, but that doesn’t mean the entire system collapsed. In fact, he argue, SKN’s health infrastructure now stronger than critics assume — and the public deserve the full story, not half-truths.
