Nevis Premier Brantley Rank Top 10 at Caribbean Global Awards 2025
Nevis step in the spotlight this time — Premier Mark Brantley has clinched #8 in the Caribbean Global Awards 2025 (People’s Choice Leaders) list, putting him ahead of several big political names from across the region.
The Caribbean Global Awards held their gala on September 27 at the Cumberland Hotel in London, celebrating leaders across politics, arts, business, sports, and more. Brantley’s ranking means he’s rubbing shoulders with heavyweight Caribbean figures — folks like Prime Ministers, Presidents, and iconic personalities.
He came in just ahead of Grenadian PM Dickon Mitchell (who landed #9) and others tied with his number. At the top? Leaders such as Kamla Persad-Bissessar from Trinidad & Tobago, Ralph Gonsalves of St. Vincent & the Grenadines, and Mia Mottley from Barbados.
Brantley’s story isn’t new — it’s one built on steady climb, public service, and visibility. He grew up under modest circumstances, earned his law degree from UWI, then a Legal Education Certificate in Jamaica, before furthering studies at Oxford.
At home, he’s been active in politics since his late 20s, holding multiple roles: legislator, minister, and now premier. Under his leadership, Nevis has seen development pushes, stronger tourism promotion, and efforts to raise the island’s profile internationally.
Seeing Brantley in the Top 10 is nice spotlight for Nevis, a sign we doing something right but there is always more to do. We want infrastructure, we want opportunity, we want investment that hits the ground. Let this ranking inspire action, not just applause.
Nevis now has eyes watching - let’s give them something real to see.
