Police Investigate Fatal Nevis Crash That Claimed Life of Cox Village Woman
Police in Nevis are investigating a fatal road accident that has left one woman dead following a three-vehicle collision on September 30.
Reports indicate the crash involved a car driven by Monique Daniel of Maddens Estate, a van driven by Sherina Pemberton of Cox Village, and a jeep driven by Recaldo Hendrickson. The accident occurred between 1:00 p.m. and 3:15 p.m. when Daniel’s car was turning from Government Road onto Pump Road. The van reportedly collided with the front-right of Daniel’s car, pushing it toward the mountainside before rolling back and striking the jeep.
Both Daniel and Pemberton were transported to the Alexandra Hospital by private vehicle. Sadly, Mrs. Pemberton passed away in the hospital’s surgical ward on October 9. An autopsy will determine her exact cause of death.
This marks the sixth road fatality recorded in Nevis for the year, prompting renewed calls for caution on the island’s roads.
