Drew Congratulates Guyana and Jamaica on Democratic Victories

Big political moves in the region this week and St Kitts and Nevis nah miss out the chance fi hail it up. Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew tek to socials fi big up Guyana’s President Irfaan Ali and him PPP/C crew pon dem re-election, and Jamaica’s PM Andrew Holness with the JLP after dem mash up the polls same way.

Dr Drew seh within three days the Caribbean people show di world seh democracy still strong, still alive, still kicking. Voters hand out fresh mandates like “yes, we still trust y’all vision” and lock it in for another round.

But Drew nuh stop deh. He seh SKN ready fi link tighter wid both Guyana and Jamaica, push the regional unity vibes, economic growth, and the wider CARICOM progress weh everybody always talking ‘bout but seldom delivering.

Translation: SKN cyaan sit small inna the corner. Every election win inna di region get tied to dis big narrative of integration, solidarity and “zone of peace” identity. So when Guyana and Jamaica flex, lil SKN step out pon stage too, waving the Caribbean flag and reminding people, “we deh yah, we watching, and we ready fi partner.”

Democracy strong? Time will tell. But for now, is champagne corks and photo ops across the region.
