Rams Supermarket Larceny Spree — Another Woman Charged

The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force say Rams Supermarket turning into a crime hotspot lately.

On Tuesday, September 23, police confirmed that Akelia Bassue of West Farm has been charged with Simple Larceny for an offence at Rams Bird Rock the day before.

This is not an isolated case. Just last week three other women were also hauled before the law:

  • Althea France of Bird Rock — arrested September 17 at Frigate Bay, charged with two counts of larceny.

  • Marsha Graham of Shadwell — arrested September 18, charged with larceny over an incident on September 14.

  • Shermain Paul of Spooners, Cayon — arrested September 19, later charged with four counts, including two for larceny and two for receiving.

Police have not said if the cases are linked, but the spree has residents shaking their heads. Rams is one of the Federation’s busiest supermarkets, and for many, this sudden spike in theft is troubling.

Run Di Chat take: The law catching up quick, but the question on everybody’s lips — what really going on at Rams?
