SKN Ranked Among Best Caribbean Islands to Retire
SKN has been named one of the Caribbean’s top retirement destinations, with its stunning natural beauty, tax-friendly environment and affordable cost of living making it an attractive choice for retirees worldwide.
The ranking comes from Global Citizens Solutions, which reviewed climate, safety, healthcare access, community and financial factors to identify the 13 best Caribbean islands to retire. The Federation stood out for combining a relaxed lifestyle with a favourable tax system that includes no income, capital gains, inheritance or wealth taxes.
“Located between the Atlantic Ocean and the Caribbean Sea, this dual-island nation offers a peaceful lifestyle and is known for its beautiful beaches, lush green rainforests, exciting hiking trails and awe-inspiring mountains,” the report stated.
St Kitts and Nevis also benefits from one of the region’s longest-running citizenship by investment programmes, which has been in place for more than 40 years. Starting from $250,000, the programme offers a secure pathway to citizenship, with options for families and dependents. Citizens also gain privileges as members of the Commonwealth.
While initial investment may be high, the everyday cost of living remains accessible. Global Citizens Solutions estimates a single person could live comfortably on $1,500 to $2,000 a month, while a family of four could thrive on $2,800 to $4,000.
The Federation joins other Caribbean destinations such as The Bahamas, Antigua and Barbuda, and Dominica on the list, but stands out for its combination of stability, natural beauty and globally respected investment opportunities.
For those looking to spend their golden years with sun, sea and security, St Kitts and Nevis is once again proving itself to be a standout choice.
