SKNFA Condemns Presidents Cup Brawl

The St Kitts and Nevis Football Association (SKNFA) has spoken out strongly against the violent altercation that broke out during the Presidents Cup match between S.L. Horsfords St Paul’s United FC and Rams Village Superstars FC on Sunday, which forced the game to end prematurely at halftime.

In a statement issued on Sunday night, the SKNFA expressed “deep regret” over the incident, calling it wholly unacceptable and a direct contradiction to the values of respect, discipline and fair play that the Association stands for.

“The SKNFA strongly condemns all forms of violence and misconduct in football,” the release read. “The safety and enjoyment of our fans remain our top priority, and we recognize the disappointment caused by this unfortunate disruption.”

An immediate investigation has been launched into the matter. All players, officials and other participants involved in the brawl will face disciplinary review under SKNFA and FIFA regulations.

The Association also issued an apology to fans who attended the match and had their football experience cut short, promising to make amends and ensure that future fixtures are safe and enjoyable for all.

The SKNFA reaffirmed its zero-tolerance policy toward violence on and off the pitch, stressing that football in St Kitts and Nevis should remain a source of pride, unity and community spirit.

As the investigation continues, the SKNFA said it remains committed to upholding professionalism and discipline at every level of the game — ensuring that the sport reflects the best of the Federation, not the worst.
