Brantley Strengthens Ties in Washington, Invites Senior US Congressman to Visit SKN

Premier Mark Brantley continues to fly the flag for St Kitts and Nevis abroad, using every international platform to deepen diplomatic and economic ties.

While in the United States on a speaking engagement, Brantley met with Congressman Brian Mast, who serves as Chair of the US House Foreign Affairs Committee — one of the most influential bodies in shaping America’s foreign policy and international relations.

Brantley said the meeting was an opportunity to make the case for a stronger, more engaged relationship between the United States and the Caribbean, which he described as America’s “third border.”

During their exchange, Brantley extended a personal invitation to Congressman Mast to visit St Kitts and Nevis, noting the historic connection between the two nations through Alexander Hamilton, one of America’s Founding Fathers who was born in Nevis.

The Premier described the conversation as “productive and encouraging,” praising Congressman Mast for his “knowledge, candour and clarity” on global and regional affairs.

“Diplomacy allows us to find common ground,” Brantley said, emphasising that such engagements are key to promoting the Federation’s interests internationally.

The meeting forms part of Brantley’s ongoing diplomatic outreach, aimed at boosting visibility, strengthening partnerships, and positioning St Kitts and Nevis as a proactive voice in global discussions.
