Washington Archibald Student Fatally Shot in St Kitts
An 18-year-old student of the Washington Archibald High School was shot and killed late on Saturday night in College Housing, St Kitts, in an incident that has shocked the school community and left family and friends grieving.
Police have identified the victim as Sean Kadim John, a Dominican national whose family hails from Gutter Village in Roseau, Dominica. According to initial reports, John sustained a single gunshot wound to the head. Emergency responders confirmed his death at the scene.
The Royal St Christopher and Nevis Police Force (RSCNPF) said officers were called to the area between 10.30 and 11 pm on September 13. The Crime Scene Unit processed the location and investigators have launched a full probe. No suspects have yet been named.
In a statement, the Police extended condolences to John’s family, friends and school community. They urged anyone with information to come forward, either to the nearest police station or anonymously via Crime Stoppers at 707.
